Maryam Foroozanfar
received her formal training at the Fashion Institute of Technology in
New York. Commissioned portraits (both modern and traditional) and figurative
pieces form the basis for her works. Influenced by a broad range of artists,
a diverse palette and unique approach are utilized with each piece. The
result is a fresh quality that only willingness to experiment and push
forth can provide.
Indebted to the invaluable instruction of mentors such as Morton Kaish
and Herb Tauss, Maryam's works have been shown in museums and galleries
on an international scale, including the National Portrait Gallery in
London. Her work is part of private collections in both America and Europe.
Maryam currently works and exhibits regularly in the UK. |
